As a Chinese-Canadian who has lived, studied and worked in Europe, North America and Asia, Zhong has always been fascinated by transatlantic as well as European-Asian relations. He completed his undergraduate studies with a Combined Honours degree in Economics and Political Science (German Minor) at McMaster University, Canada. Pursuing his interest in diplomatic history, he completed a MSc. in History of International Relations at the LSE, where he is now a prospective PhD student. At the LSE, he focused on Chinese Foreign Policy, European Cold War history as well as European Colonial Economic history. Zhong also has a keen interest in labour economics, the European aspect of which he explored during a recent internship at the Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW).
